The Best Beaches to Enjoy While in Barbados

How to know which beaches to experience while you're here.

Barbados is home to many beautiful beaches, and the best part is that all of them are free and open to the public. There is no beach on the island that you are not able to enjoy if you can find your way to the surf.

Crane Beach

Crane Beach is the closest one to Coconut Breeze, located less than 2 miles away from the property. Crane Beach has actually been called one of the best beaches in the world by some sources. There are powerful waves in the area, which you may not be able to guess based on how picturesque it looks, but it's a favorite for boogie boarding.

Foul Bay

Don't let the name fool you-- Foul Bay actually is an adaptation of the original name of Fowl Bay, because many migrating birds would nest in the area. This beach is one of the closest ones to Coconut Breeze, at about 4 miles away or a 7 minute drive. It's also a very large beach, and there are restrooms and plenty of shade due to trees along the edge, making this a popular picnic spot.

Bathsheba

Bathsheba is located on the north east coast of Barbados, and is known for the interesting, gravity defying rock formations in the water just past the edge of the sand.

Miami Beach

Miami Beach, also known as Enterprise Beach, is a beautiful beach, with two bathing areas on either side of a jetty. One side is more protected, making a great spot for bathing and for swimming with children. The other side has a larger beach and plenty of space to sit in the shade under trees or on the sand and you can often find a chaise lounge you are free to use. There's a small food truck restaurant where you can buy sandwiches and drinks, and theres a restroom and showers on site, as well as plenty of parking. This beach is also in Oistins and you can walk from the beach to shops and restaurants in the town.
